CANCELLATIONS

Reservations

We pride ourselves on clear communication about who we are, our accommodations & the amenities we offer. We expect our guests to fully research their accommodations before booking to ensure we are your best choice. We are here to answer your questions as you plan your trip to Durham.  Email, call or text us at 919-886-9563 or at homecomfortstaysbook@gmail.com to ensure we will meet your needs. 

  • Reservations will only be confirmed once payment is received. 

    • Dates are not guaranteed until payment is received.

    • In the case of a cancellation, see Cancellation Policy.

  • Check-in available starting at 4 pm  | Check-out by 11 am

    • We take pride in providing a meticulously clean home, therefore:

      • Check-out at 11am, extended check-out isn't available

      • Early check-in; we will let you know as soon as your room is ready, but cannot guarantee any earlier than 4pm as we are preparing the room for your stay.

General Policies
  • Smoke Free Property. Smoking, Vaping, Chewing, E-cigarettes, Juul or similar products/devices are not permitted anywhere inside or outside.

  • Adults only facility. Adults over 24 are welcomed. 

    • Well behaved children over 8 years old are welcomed in the Family suite and Group Retreat. Children are included in the occupancy count. ​

  • Select rooms allow for an additional guest for a fee.

  • Additional twin bed is available in select rooms for a fee.

  • No animals allowed.

  • Two indoor cats live on the property, make appropriate preparations or decisions if you have allergies.

  • Laundry facility is available for a fee.

  • To maintain a peaceful environment for all guests, TV's and voices are asked to be kept at a reasonable volume by 9 pm.

    • Home Comfort Stays is a quiet escape and we work to foster that environment. 

  • All rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes.

  • During holidays, special events and peak weekends, there may be a minimum stay requirement.

  • Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, Google Pay and Apple Pay are accepted as "Preferred Payment" types

    • Credit Cards are accepted, but come with a processing fee of 5% of the total price.

Cancellations
  • If notification of cancellation or room change is received at least 2 week prior to your arrival date​ a refund will be issued.

    • Preferred Payment type: 100% refund​

    • Credit Cards: 5% less than the total price before the original 5% processing fee.

  • Reservations are non-refundable if cancellation or room change is requested with 2 weeks of the arrival date.

  • If any of the following apply to the dates or conditions of your reservation, the stay is non-refundable:

    • "Group Retreat" reservations.

    • Special request reservations.

Ask if any of these apply to your reservation dates prior to booking.

 

Early departure falls within our cancellation policy, therefore, there are no refunds for early departure. 

 

Cancellations for any reason, are held to this policy, including flight cancellation, weather, personal reasons, unforeseen reason, misunderstanding of facility or amenities and etc.
