Today we are looking at what home-stays have become in suburban environments. I have put together the three segments that determine success: Community Adaptation, Attraction Range, Guest Experience. These topics will continue to expand, but I want to begin by sharing a broad stroke of an industry going through formalization.
First, what is a home-stay? Typically, a home-stay is when a host actively offers their home to travelers. The host charges a rate per night congruent with the experience provided. It is usually a 1-3 night stay, and revolves around a specific event or offering in the area. Commonly known platforms in the marketplace have married buyers and sellers in a revolutionary way. That ideal has blossomed into a new form of accommodation; a form that was once held by large hotel chains, and is now being taken back by homeowners looking to blend business with living. In future chronicles, we will discuss more data-driven findings. This is merely an introduction into the world and its guiding principles, as well as some insight into our day-to-day operations.
